MAISELI · ONE WHO BELONGS TO MAY

From the earth.
Through generations.
To your glass.

In our family, May is the moment we open the qvevri and welcome the vines back to life. An ending. A beginning. A tradition we have carried since 1908.

A FAMILY TRADITION, UNBROKEN

One qvevri.
Generations of care.

In 1908, our great-grandfather buried the family’s first qvevri in Georgian soil. More than a century later, we still make wine in that very same vessel.

What has passed from one generation to the next is more than a method. It is a way of caring for the land, a respect for time, and the pleasure of sharing what we make.

THE MAISELI VINEYARD · GEORGIA

GROWN WITH RESPECT

A small vineyard.
A personal connection.

Our two hectares are home to Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Tsolikouri, and Saperavi. We tend the vines by hand, from pruning to harvest, giving each plant the attention it deserves.

We use only products permitted in organic farming, caring for soil health and the natural balance of the vineyard.

THE ART OF MAKING MAISELI

The qvevri tradition

Buried in the earth, our clay qvevri are where wine develops and matures. This traditional Georgian method preserves the character of each grape and connects our wines to the generations before us.

Qvevri meets French oak

Our Heritage wines begin in Georgian qvevri before further ageing in French oak. The clay preserves their identity; the oak adds depth, structure, and complexity.
